Great Image. Here I go again...
I used to know ..years ago .. The cleaner who cleaned at Abbey Road. Her name was Rose and she knew all the Beatles.
So who was the best Beatle?
Rose always said it was John. Because he always let on to her.
She said they were all nice boys but John always the most friendly.

This reminds me of the psychedelic colors of my youth. Shows my age, eh?

Hi Joe, I always think of you when doing my serif work as I know they give you a lift.
Smabs don't ever not come and tell me your little stories, I love them. You have such a knack of telling them and they are so interesting.
Thank you.
Dear Tengds, I used to have a dress in the sixties that was not far off like the above image, I loved it. When I think of all the dancing I did in it to the Beatles, oh! what a memory.
I'm so glad you noticed it Peter, thank you so much.

I heard that George was the nicest of them. I loved his playing and when he released -All things must pass [1970] - I remember thinking that it was he who contributed more to the Beatles overall sound than either Lennon or Mr.Goody two shoes. However I did like John Lennon a lot and bought all his solo albums. I also thought George wrote the most challenging songs. My fave Beatles album is Abbey Road.
Great pictue you have posted here Star. -Very of the time.
Do you remember the group Badfinger ? many people thought they were the Beatles under a different name..... I have some of their records and they would have certainly fooled me.

Hi Lipskin,
I loved Badfinger, I shall have to go and listen to them on You Tube, as I can't remember what they sound like again.
Mr Goody two shoes, is that my beloved Paul?
Honestly I liked all the Beatles for one reason or another and they all deserve their merit.
Only recently we acquired a live concert dvd of Ringo with the All Star Band:
Levon Helm, Nils Lofgren, Clarence Clemons, Dr John, Billy Preston, Joe Walsh, Rick Danko, Jim Keltner, and it's fantastic, it's from 2005.

I visited You Tube and of course it all came back to me, all their hits.
Then people were talking in the comments about the death of Pete Ham, that led me to wikipedia and what a shame everything went so bad for them. Another death followed so many years after Pete's. Then another in 2006.

There are some great names you mention there, Levon Helm was the drummer [and one of the main singers] with The Band, I just bought his latest album, also the late Rick Danko was with them, he was the bass player. Dr.John and Joe Walsh - what memories, that was from a time when most groups carried at least one virtuoso.- And now we have Oasis, god what a nose dive.
Yes you're right a sad story of Badfinger, great band though. Rock has had so many casualties over the years. So much injustice in music as well - amazing a few years ago how Oscar Peterson's passing went with hardly a mention yet if Posh spice picks her nose it's headline news !! What a world.
I'm afraid I often refer to Paul as goody two shoes - I always thought he'd have been quite good at presenting something like Blue Peter or that sort of thing you know - maybe wearing a tank top or a fairisle jumper. I did like some of his stuff though.
ps - thanks for the link as well - very interesting.
