Produce display

This is part of a display which won the East of Scotland Window Dressing competition in 1927. Tranent Co-operative Society was only one of many Co-operative branches in East Lothian. In 1939 the Cockenzie, Haddington, Prestonpans and West Barns branches of the Society amalgamated to become the East Lothian Co-operative Society. Until then there was still a very competitive element amongst the shops. In 1927, the competition was won by the Provisions and Groceries department of the Bridge Street, Tranent branch.
