PastEL
Social & Economic Change in East Lothian

Version of this page with images

East Lothian Museums Service's third SCRAN project PastEL has created 2,700 multimedia records. The project was completed in June 2001 and included some of the objects to be seen on these pages.

The records are representative of all of East Lothian's urban centres and much of the rural area. They investigate work and play, domestic life and industry and the landscape itself - houses, factories and fields. Where possible, communities are profiled in time with objects and images from the eighteenth century to the present.

A small selection of the material digitised can be seen on this site. Now the project is completed, all 2,700 records are available on the SCRAN resource base.
