Wikipedia event to take place in East Lothian:

East Lothian Photographers LOVE Wikipedia!

John Muir's Birthplace and Prestongrange Museum

Sunday 14th February, 1-4pm

Join us at either venue to take part in an exciting project to capture museums and their collections for Wikipedia. Both venues will open their doors to photographers of all abilities to allow them to explore the building, its collections and the surrounding area.

Can you take a better photo than us? Probably! The Sign at Prestongrange

Even though it's the closed season at Prestongrange, we'll be opening up the Beam Engine to allow you a unique opportunity to capture the inside of this historic construction. At John Muir's Birthplace, you can be inspired by the same natural world which led to John Muir's epic achievements.

Afterwards, photographers will be asked to upload their photos to the Britain Loves Wikipedia website. The site also provides full details of rules and prizes.

You can also upload photographs taken on the day to our group on Flickr - East Lothian Photographers Love Wikipedia.

Free tours at both venues will take place at 2pm on the following topics on a first come, first served basis:

Plus, both venues will be offering free tea and coffee to all photographers! So come along and help take East Lothian's history into the wider wiki-world!
